HINDSIGHT

A social post exploring perception versus reality.

Post copy:
Who here can look back on a chapter in their lives and think, "That was such a fun/happy/carefree time?" College, our first jobs, our first loves — those are a few that immediately pop up for us.
Hindsight is 20/20, but we'd argue it's also #contradictory.
In the moment, those chapters can feel stressful, sweaty, confusing. Like you're barely keeping your head above water. But with distance, those chapters tend to take on a rosy glow. It's a #contradiction of our own memories.

Perception versus reality, experiential versus narrative — one way isn't better than the other, but it might help to remember the next time you feel like you're in over your head that it won't always feel that way. In fact, you may look back on that struggle with a smile.

Walking Contradiction

A social post for International Women’s Day.

Post Copy:
To all the womxn who move through the world worried that their actions will deem them one thing or the other: Wear these contradictory badges with pride. Because we'll be damned if we're not both things or anywhere in between at any given point. Keep on taking up space and taking no shit. #IWD2019 #internationalwomensday

moral hypocrisies

An internal social post exploring the theme of contradiction.

Post copy:
Chewing on the theme of #contradiction this month, we've gotten a taste of our own strange, little moral hypocrisies. What have we learned about ourselves? Turns out, when you really stop and think about where we draw these lines, they don't make much sense. And the line definitely isn't a rigid one, though oftentimes by judging others, it just means we're not allowing their lines to be as wobbly as ours.

So, what else? We know the list goes on and on. What other weird things do you deem acceptable, or not?

MENTAL HEALTH MYTHS

A social post for Mental Health Awareness Month.

Post Copy:
We’ve all heard it and maybe even said it too — “I’m sooo OCD.” When it comes to Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), there’s all sorts of different types, symptoms, levels of severity, coping mechanisms, and methods of treatment. But one thing all shades of OCD share? They’re not cute nor are they the punchline to a joke.

The article “OCD is Not a Joke” by Lisa Whittington-Hill via The Walrus (link in bio) provides great insight into just how distressing and debilitating OCD can truly be. It’s also probably more common than you think (especially in the advertising and marketing industry).

Curious about other mental health conditions that often fly under the radar? Follow along throughout May as we dispel common myths about mental health and provide more insight into struggles that are common across all industries.
